What is

Victoria Art & Cultural Trail?

The Victoria Art & Cultural Trail (VACT) is a dynamic initiative launched by Australia Women & Children Protection and Development (AWCPD) as part of the State Government’s Study Melbourne Inclusion Program (SMIP).

Victoria Art & Cultural Trail is a five-part program, running from May to November 2025, aims to enhance the cultural engagement and creative confidence of international students in Victoria. It offers immersive experiences that highlight diverse aspects of Victoria’s cultural identity, including Indigenous heritage, urban art scenes, and local artistic traditions. Through curated events, students are encouraged to build social connections, deepen their understanding of the state’s rich cultural heritage, and participate actively in community-driven creative activities.

Get involved and let the sunshine in!

"One Square Meter of Sunshine” (OSMS) is a green environmental development initiative launched by AWCPD, aimed at promoting urban ecological sustainability through broad social participation and creating more green spaces. This project integrates efforts from communities, families, schools, and businesses, encouraging people to utilise idle spaces such as balconies, gardens, and community corners to plant flowers, vegetables, or other greenery. By doing so, the project seeks to enhance environmental quality, raise environmental awareness, and create a green linkage between public and private spaces, ultimately achieving a shared urban environment for all.

The core principles of "One Square Meter of Sunshine" are: strengthening parent-child interaction, promoting harmonious family relationships, improving environmental quality, raising environmental awareness and social responsibility, encouraging broad social participation, and creating a linkage between public and private spaces.
