What is

Safestudy Film Lab?

SafeStudy Film Lab is a Victoria-wide filmmaking program for international students, organised by AWCPD and supported by Study Melbourne. Participants will collaborate with peers and industry mentors to create an anti-scam awareness film inspired by real student experiences.

From story development and scriptwriting to filming and public screening, the program provides hands-on experience within a professional film production environment while promoting student safety, community engagement, and fraud awareness.

Stories may include:

* Personal experiences involving scams or fraud;

* Real cases involving friends, classmates, or members of the community;

* Reflections and observations on international student safety and scam awareness.

Contributors whose stories are selected and significantly inform the

screenplay will receive:

* An official Letter of Appreciation from the organisers;

* Acknowledgement in the film credits;

* An invitation to the film premiere and project showcase events.
