About the event

"Seventh Evening" is a cultural event that celebrates and preserves traditional Asian culture, specifically the Qixi Festival, which honors love and familial support through women's exceptional skills and talents. The festival, celebrated in China as Qixi, in Japan as Tanabata, and in South Korea as Chilseok, has a rich history spanning over 2,000 years. Our event aims to promote gender equality and support the integration of new migrant women and young ladies into the local Australian community.

This event highlights women's talents, commemorating love and familial bonds. Our mission is to foster gender equality and aid the integration of new migrant women and young ladies into the Australian community. Join us in preserving traditional values while embracing diversity and unity.

This project is part of the funding program under the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and the organisation is supported and funded by the Merri-bek City Council's Community Grants Program.
